Euro Trip, Day 10 (June 27, 2013) - Monaco

by - 5:11 PM

Sightseeing in Nice by bus. Nice is really a nice city. Everything seemed to be close with the beach. It was summer and everything looked perfect. The water was even so blue. I love that people were walking, riding roller skates and bicycles. I actually wanted to get off the bus and explore the city by walking but we couldn't. We continued our way to Monaco. We stopped at some spots on the way there to take pictures because the views are great.

Views on the way to Monaco

Arrived in Monaco and visited Grimaldi Palace. It is an area where there is park, church, and of course the palace.

Grace Kelly's tomb is kept in a church

Then we went to... a Casino area! This is the place where the rich people gather. Expensive cars, branded stores, you name it. There were lots of people, mostly tourists. There was much to see. I visited branded shops like Chanel, LV, etc. Even Zara looks more sophisticated. There was a Casino that opens for public, I was so excited and came inside to take a look. Wow, it was magical. I felt like I entered a different world. Outside was very bright and suddenly it turned dark with colorful lights from the game arcade. Too bad no photos allowed. I also window-shopped at the souvenir shop, but nothing interesting for me. Yeah, being at that place made me feel like I billionaire. Want to know what I bought there? Only an ice cream.
Going left or right?

I didn't know why but today is quite tiring. We went back to Nice to have early dinner. I was so happy that I actually could step my feet on Nice, not on the bus. We were taken to the restaurant by walking and suddenly I forgot I was tired. I loooove what's nearby. Besides the greatness of the beach, this other side of area is also nice. There are rows of cafes and shopping places. It is outdoor so I could see people chilling and hanging out. The wind made it perfect. I really wanted to sit at one of the cafes but we had to eat together :(.

After that we went back to Cannes and like the day before, we walked around the city again. We passed the place where the street dancers danced. I was secretly hoping they were there again but they weren't. We found a train that could take us around the city but either it was too expensive or it was already late, we didn't take it.

The event was just finished! If I'm not mistaken,
the Cannes Film Festival is also held here.
