WORLD OF NADA

Based on my friend's recommendation, I should try Mak's Noodle, especially its Beef Brisket Noodle. It's located in Causeway Bay and that's perfect because I also wanted to visit the malls there. Another challenging moment finding the restaurant. Asking people, nobody knew, finally found a helpful guy. Again, when I arrived, I wasn't sure it was the restaurant. When I came, it was all locals who were eating. People didn't speak English and there's no English menu, so I just pointed the picture. After leaving, I actually still wasn't sure it was Mak's Noodle. Never mind though, the noodle taste good after all. We only ate two menus for three but feeling so full.

Looking for something to drink and 7-11 was offering
buy 2 get 3 for this lemon tea

Walked around Causeway Bay, passing the malls. It was very crowded, there's people everywhere. We went inside Sogo. In my city, Sogo is just a part in a mall. But here, it is a whole building! Nothing particular to find, we just explored each floor one by one. Then we explored another mall around.

Welcome to Times Square! It is such a huge mall. When I went there, they were having One Piece (Japanese manga) market so I assumed it was more crowded than usual. Inside, my brother was having fun at a music store which has many musical instruments, old CDs, and even music books. Then we spent our time at PageOne bookstore. I've always loved being at bookstores and my brother bought design magazines.

Accidentally found Hui Lau Shan, a famous mango dessert shop. I tried in KL before and wanted to try here, at its original city. Some of the menu are different so I better try them. They were very refreshing.

Pink Sasa store at Causeway Bay. Don't worry about
finding Sasa, it's everywhere in the city!

Interesting music eggs. You can press the eggs and they actually make sounds!

Had dinner at Tim Ho Wan again. Ordering good things from the day before and what we haven't tried. Still, it was crowded again and people kept coming!

I choose this BBQ Pork Baked Bun as the best menu from Tim Ho Wan. The sweetness of the bun
blends perfectly
with the pork filling. SO SO GOOD!! I was droolling when I wrote this.

Last stop before going home is Tai Cheong bakery. I was really curious about its famous Portuguese egg tart. Thank God it wasn't that hard finding the shop in Central. I just had to walk a bit far. The shop was about to close, but luckily they still had some tarts left. I bought two which I would eat it at the apartment because I was still full. As I arrived, I couldn't wait to try it. Oh my.. it really is the best Portuguese egg tart I've ever had! I have to admit this tart is different. It has the smoothest yellow part and the sweet taste is just perfect.

Of course we weren't going home after visiting Disneyland. I wanted to visit Starbucks at Duddell Street and my brother wanted to buy Hard Rock T-shirt, so we went to Central. First we bought T-shirts at Hard Rock and then walked to find Starbucks. At first you might be wondering why I really wanted to go there, Starbucks are everywhere. But what makes it special and different is this Starbucks has retro and vintage style. You're like taken back to old Hong Kong. When browsing for this, I thought I really should go here.

I struggled a bit finding this. Some people whom I asked on the way didn't even know. With the help of Google map and asking more people, I managed to find it. From outside, I didn't find any sign that it was the Starbucks I was looking for since it's located in an office building. I went inside, asked the security, and they told us to go upstairs. I was happy and relieved. I experienced by myself of what I had seen only on pictures before. Because we were very tired of walking, we bought frappuccino and sat there for a while to chill and relax. The interesting thing is we have to ask for keys to go inside the restroom and once you finish, return the keys.

Then I walked around again, passing branded boutiques. I really love this area because it made me feel like an uptown girl. The store lights were already turned on which made the view be even cooler.

It was time for dinner and we were starving already. No idea where to go, I suggested we go to Tim Ho Wan, which is known as the cheapest Michelin restaurant and offers great dim sum. The nearest branch from where we were was at IFC Mall, Central.
I was really I sure I arrived, but I was confused which restaurant it was. It was already in front of my eyes but I passed it since it's only written in kanji. What made me finally become sure is because it was very crowded, with locals and foreigners.
Another challenge, I was confused on how to order and get a seat. When I ask people around me, they also didn't know because they were also tourists. I eventually knew how it works and now I can give the info to you. There are two menus written on a piece of paper in different color, one in kanji and the other in English. Take one and borrow pencil/pen provided. Write your order and give it to the staff. Make sure you write all things you want. Based on my experience eating at restaurants here, the system is you can only order once. It's hard for you to add more menu in the middle of eating. After giving the paper, they will give you number and call you. While waiting for the food, you can sip free Chinese tea provided at each table. Let's have dinner!

Yeay yeay yeay, I'm back to Hong Kong Disneyland! This is what I've been waiting for. When I went here back in 2006 for the first time, it was just opened so there were only a few attractions available. This time, I prioritized on new attractions I've never experienced and revisited my old favorites. Despite such a hot weather, I was having fun.
Welcome to HK Disneyland!

Main Street

Tried the Mickey Waffle. The waffle itself is already good.
I wish it's served with ice cream instead of peach.

First, I queue for Space Mountain. This is the one I really missed. It's an indoor roller coaster and since it's dark, you wouldn't know the track and how the ride gonna take you. Then we walked around AdventureLand and passed Grizzly Gulch. I saw Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine which I've never tried before and it looked super exciting. Sadly, the staff said that it will be opened late. At least they gave us hope, I already came this far.

We visited Mystic Panor at Mystic Point instead. I love this attraction! We were taken with carriage to see Lord Henry Mystic's art collection from around the world with moving statues. We walked around ToyStoryLand and I went inside the souvenir shop. I bought a cute Monsters Inc. design iPhone case. When I paid, the staff said I was getting 10% discount. The discount is valid at all souvenir shop until 12pm. So I quickly made a move to Main Street where they have the biggest souvenir shop.

Then we had lunch at FantasyLand because after that we wanted to watch The Golden Mickeys. We were curious with Stitch Encounter. Turns out that we met Stitch through monitor and he was doing live interaction with us. He was so funny. We checked the Grizzly Gulch and it was open already. I was really happy that I could experience this attraction because it's super exciting! The ride was wild taking us backward and forward, fast and slow.

AdventureLand

Mystic Manor

Toy Story Land

Yangzhou Fried Rice

Minnie ice cream!

Finally, the one that I had been anticipating: the parade! Thanks to my brother for taking these nice pictures.

After the parade ended, we decided to leave. On the way back, we went inside Art of Animation where we can see Disney and Disney Pixar animation. You should see the spinning Toy Story Zoetrope. Toy Story characters are put on a round table in different angles. Every few minutes, the table spins and it creates an illusion that they're moving.

I know it was such a quick visit, but we were already satisfied. At first, we wanted to wait until night to watch the fireworks, but it would be too long. Somehow I feel the attractions are still not much even though they already developed it. I saw that they're making another attractions, though. And it's 'Frozen'!

A selfie before leaving. Hope my new Minnie headband
would take me to Disneyland around the world.
