Amertha Bhavani Goes to Spain, Day 15 (Aug 15, 2015) - Montijo
The festival almost comes to the end. This is our last performance with a full team. Two of our friends would leave earlier the next day. We performed in Montijo only with the locals. We started with a small parade, literally small since we only walked nearby the stage and there was nobody around. They were already gathered around the stage. We really did have to struggle performing that night. The wind blew so hard. Besides feeling cold, we had to hold our props tightly. We were afraid they would break or tear apart. We managed to pull it off, though.
As usual, we were already tired when we arrived at the uni. We just arrived at 3am. But when we had dinner earlier that day, México invited us to join their small farewell party at the uni entrance hall. Some of them would leave earlier in the morning and they wouldn't come back after they finished their last performance so we might not see them again.
They had not come back when we arrived so we waited for them. Only me, my friends Adam and Anien from our group who joined the party. The party was very intimate. There was México on this side and Chile on the other. They were very welcome and offering us drinks, they got plenty of them. The Mexican was singing and playing the music, and the songs were very beautiful. Some of them cried and hugged each other. I really could feel their togetherness. I didn't realise it was 5am already and I decided to go back to my room and sleep since I still had one very last performance to do.
With Francisca from Chile, she was having her 18th birthday |
