Long Weekend in Jogja - Day 2 (May 14, 2015) - Part 2

From Museum Affandi we had lunch at Ayam Geprek Bu Rum. I just knew about ayam geprek the day before from a friend so we decided to try. I google-d by myself and found this to be the most popular. Fortunately, the location is not too far from the museum.
I thought they have their own building, turns out that it is a tent in a neighbourhood. It's  like Wijilan gudeg center, so there are some other ayam geprek from different owners nearby. It was very crowded when we came since it was lunch time. We almost didn't get any seat and some people even ate inside their own car.

We observed how people order the menu. It is self-service. First, we take the base and paper to cover then we take the rice and side dishes. The waiter will ask how many chillies we want, then they add salt and pepper. They put fried chicken on top and it will be smashed together. That's why it is called ayam geprek (ayam=chicken). The taste? Despite using simple ingredients, it is delicious! I only asked for 1 chilli, I should have asked 2 instead. People who love spicy food often ask for more than 5 chillies! I believe there will be explosion in their mouth.

After that, we went to Galeria Mall. The place we wanted to visit is actually Canting restaurant which is located at the rooftop of this mall. Since it opens at 5pm, we wasted our time walking around the mall because we had no idea where to go.
I knew Canting from my cousin. There was a party when he was here so the place became very lively, there were DJ and pretty bright lights. I was hoping there would be some kind of event like that but there wasn't when I came. Even though there weren't many people and it was a bit quiet, I love the place. It is perfect for girls gathering or dinner date. Since we ate so much today, we only ordered Nachos. Both the nachos and sauce taste great. For the drink, I tried Teh Tarik which is a bit unique because they add grass jelly. The price is more expensive than most Jogja restaurants.

Ayu was going to meet her friend but we went back first to our guest house by TransJogja. It was peak hour so we waited long for the bus and by the time it came, it was fully occupied so we had to wait again. I got separated with Ayu on the next bus, I was left behind. Then she got off on the next stop to wait for me. After several bus, I managed to get in and be together with Ayu again. We were very tired and there were 5 vacant seats but unfortunately they were wet because of broken air-con.
Arriving at the guest house, Ayu took a shower and left. I was going to meet other friends but it was cancelled. I ended up sleeping until next morning.
