WORLD OF NADA

Today's first stop is Pisa Tower. We were still in Italy, so yeah it was still hot. Thank God it was my last day in Italy, I was moving to Cannes after that. I was hoping Cannes wasn't too hot like this. There were lots of tourists. I spotted a group from Spain because one guy tied Spanish flag on his neck. Bonus of cute guys today gave a little happiness, I almost forgot the heat. Not much story to tell here. Even though I didn't have much time, it was enough for me to take pictures and walk around.

Everybody was trying to make illusion pictures,
so was I!

Street attraction

The hot weather made me craving for ice cream all
the time, and luckily there's gelato everywhere!

Arrived in Cannes and thank God there was free wi-fi even though it was only available on the lobby as I didn't get any free wi-fi at Italy hotels. We stayed at Armada Hotel. Tonight was the most fun because after dinner, me and the others, especially the teens went to the beach. Fortunately, the weather wasn't hot at all, though it was a bit windy. There, we met a group of people sitting who asked us to join but we were too shy. Chandni (my friend) approached them and found out that they were actually strangers and didn't know each other before. Too bad we didn't join them. I actually loved to but it was rare to have free time at night like this so I decided to walk around the city instead.

Later on, we heard music and saw a bunch people. I was curious and checked what was going on. There was a group of street dancers! I was sooo happy cos this is ma thing! I thought they were just finished but actually they were just going to start. So we watched them dance. I got my eyes on one guy. He's the most good looking. I think he looks like Ashley Banjo and Ryan Guzman (both dancers) combined. They really showed what they got and each of them has their own styles and tricks. After they finished, we took pictures with them and I said to them that I was also a dancer. Without any further expectations, they asked me to dance! I refused at first but then I thought these people won't remember and I won't meet them again, so why not? I had no preparation at all so I did whatever I had in my mind. They gave me hip hop music but I gave any dance styles, I didn't care if they didn't match. I even showed them Indonesian traditional dances. They cheered for me and the people who watched them were still there so they watched me too. It was a nice experience, though.

Me, suddenly became a street dancer.. in Cannes!
After that, we continued our walk and had another meal at McDonald's. We talked and laughed. We went back to the hotel very late but we really had a good time that night.

If there is special occasion, a lot of mass gather here

St. Peter's Basilica
Going to the holy city, Vatican. Of course we visited St.Peter's Basilica, that famous building. We had to queue in line to get inside. It was a long line but we didn't have to wait long. We were already at the church but we didn't directly go inside. We entered some kind of waiting room to get our audio device. We had another guide who would guide us around the city. She's Italian. While I was waiting there, cute and good looking guards passed by. They were in tuxedos. How I love Italian guys, haha. We were given earphones and something that looked like a walkman. It would be noisy inside, with that device we could listen to our guide's voice more clearly. Then we came inside the church! I was overwhelmed, even when I was still at the front door. At first, I listened to her carefully while looking around. Then, it was getting boring, her voice became less clearer, and she walked too fast or sometimes being too long standing somewhere while my eyes caught something more interesting.

Everything in this place was so nice and fine. I was so amused and felt really blessed being here. This place is so big and there were a lot of people inside. I didn't want to get separated from my group and get lost, so when I was going to different direction, I still got my eyes on them. I wish I had more time. I almost forgot to pray again here. What I regret is that my guide said the Pope always comes out every Wednesday and greets the people, but I came on Tuesday!! :(

Some people believe touching or kissing St. Peter's toes will give you blessings

One of many fine statues

The confessional room. It is served in many languages.

The guards

We went here after that:

Constantinopel Gate

Colosseum. Our time was very limited so I couldn't go inside.

This is John, our driver. He is freaking tall!

Trevi Fountain
I felt like I was in a scene of Lizzie McGuire movie while being here. Of course I did what people have to do here: throw coins. People believe when you throw coins into the fountain, you'll come back again in the future. Somehow, it is true. My dad had been here before and he threw coins. He then came back here with us. Before I threw the coins, I made some wishes. Hope it will come true :). Italy had the hottest weather among all countries I visited during this trip. Again, it was a HOT, SUNNY day like in Venice before. Then my tour guide took us to a gelato shop, it is very close to the fountain. He said it was the best. And gelato was perfect during that hot weather. I forgot to take picture of the gelato but I think I had two scoops at that time. I could even try some flavors before. Then we had lunch at a Thai restaurant. The owner was so kind that he gave us big bottles of water to each of us afterwards. After that we continued a long journey to Pisa. We stopped midway at a chocolate, wine, and olive oil shop. I was so happy that there were many testers so I could try everything. I never thought that olive oil could have so many flavors. There were biscuits provided to try with the oil. I found some great taste of oil. This time we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant again and we stayed at Galilei Hotel.

Do you know what sucks? So I was looking for this story’s pictures and I found nothing on the folder. Then I remember at that day my brother forgot to charge the camera’s batteries. We have two, and both of them were empty. Grrr… Thank God I still have pictures on my phone’s camera.

We're going to Verona! The city was a bit quiet. We had to go around by walking. Not so many locals walked, maybe because it was raining, it wasn't heavy though. But I didn't see much vehicles passed by either. We stopped at a bridge and there was lock of love. I thought they only have one spot of that lock, the famous one.

We arrived at the House of Juliet. Woah.. I felt like I was on the scene of Letters to Juliet movie. I had a sudden romantic feeling and was like in love even though I wasn't in love with somebody, just.. suddenly reminded me of someone.

Pink and red tone love locks

Sticky bubble gums

Found a fancy shop. Here you can have custom writings on aprons, handkerchief, etc. You could request any designs and writings that you wish to be written on them. When you come inside, they'll ask you to write your name and they'll sew your name on a paper for free without buying anything first. I got one. This shop is perfect if you're looking for gifts or even for yourselves.

Another fancy shop, actually there are more of these

Spotted these on my way to our bus

The journey hasn't ended here. After that, we went to Pierotucci, where the branded leather bags made. The leathers are nice and colourful. I actually didn't want to buy anything but everybody seemed to shop, so my dad told me to get one. At the end, my dad bought me an orange Michael Kors bag and the good thing is it was tax-free! :D

Had a 4 hour trip to Italy. Since it was a very long journey, we got very hungry so we stopped at a rest area. We already entered Italy at that time. The restaurant was casual but nice. I was very hungry but too amazed with the food. With amazing view of pastas, pizzas, gooey cheese, all fresh from the oven cause they were just opened at lunch time, oh my... After looking around, finally I had my choice of pizza, lasagna, and pasta. We chose and picked our food then brought it with tray to the cashier and paid there. Here's my condition: I was starving, then Italian food were on my table, they were still hot, so I ate them with so much joy! Delicioso! I was having Italian food in Italy!
A very tasty and cheesy, not bad cheesy but good cheesy pizza.
Forgot to take pictures of the others.
After being full in a good way, we directly headed to Venice. It was a HOT, SUNNY day. I love summer but this was waaay too hot. The bad thing was we had to cross by boat to Venice in an open air. I felt like I was being fried, or grilled. The wave made the boat a bit bumpy so I felt a bit dizzy. It actually wasn't too long but I felt long because I wasn't feeling too comfortable on the boat. Thanks to the heat and bumpy boat.
Ciao, Venice!
I was anticipating the gondola but we had to watch a glass-making first. The process was quite interesting, though. It's all from a liquid that suddenly turns into a glass.

Finally it's time for gondola! Like in movies, it really is perfect for couple (I wish I could go here again with my future husband, haha). So we went around Venice. The views were mostly the same, either it was a fancy hotel or a couple who kiss at the end. I could enjoy the journey more this time than at the boat, despite still being exposed at the sun.

We still had time to walk around. There was much to see. There were lots of souvenir shops. The most popular was carnival masks. They look a little scary but also glamorous because they use gold or silver besides other colors. But our tour guide told us not to buy the souvenirs there, at near our hotel instead. We trusted him and it was true. The souvenir shop near our hotel sell things with cheaper prices although they don't have more varieties as much as back there. The shopping was also more comfortable because it was indoor and there was air-conditioner. Back to my free time, I bought gelato. It was perfect during the hot weather.
Piazza San Marco

St. Mark's Basilica

Dozens of people walk here
When I was heading back, there was some kind of party hosted by some Middle Eastern or Indian people, I'm not sure. They sang, played music, and danced. They invited anyone to join.
